Professional 1925 Conn C Melody Low Pitch Saxophone, Silver Plated with Gold Washed Bell
This beautiful 99 year old Alto Saxophone has been serviced and restored to excellent playing condition. Servicing included some of the following: been completely dismantled and thoroughly cleaned and painstakingly polished. All of the felt is new, all of the cork including the neck is new, all of the original Conn foil pads have been re-skinned with new leather to bring this saxophone as close to its original glory as possible, all of these pads have been conditioned. All of the rods and screws have been cleaned and were then well oiled for a smooth professional play (some of the screws were missing so were replaced with new ones). After this the saxophone was reassembled, was light tested-play tested and adjusted as needed for an awesome playing experience.
The pearls on the keys and the key rollers are original and in great shape. There is plating wear, some minor scrapes, minor dings, and minor corrosion on the bow (see photos).
Comes with what we believe to be the original case to the horn. It is in good condition, the handle works well as well as the clasps but needs help to close properly. Also comes with a vintage mouthpiece and ligature.
Horn plays VERY NICELY as it is, but if you are a professional, you may want your favorite tech to adjust it for your personal preferences.
