1947 The Martin Alto Saxophone

Description

1947 The Martin Alto Saxophone. In overall great condition with 1 - 5mm dent as shown in the photos. The serial number 163XXX dates it to 1947 per saxpics.com and other research sites.
This was serviced and new Kangaroo skin pads installed around 2010-11 by Steve Stransky at worldwide sax. I only see a 3-4mm long dent that can be seen in one of the photos.
I was taking lessons from Steve at the time
and continued to play for another year after the horn was re-padded. It was cleaned and put away, and has been unplayed since then.
Includes a Runyon red pepper #3 mouthpiece and ligature and a newer aftermarket case.
