    Description

    The Martin Committee III vintage alto saxophone with original lacquer body and keys.
    SN 174724 dates it to 1950. The neck is not the original but is correct for the horn. Includes original case and a stock Martin mouthpiece, ligature and cap.
    Has been gone through by an experienced technician and regulated, cleaned, lubricated with pads replaced as needed. Plays well top to bottom with that smooth Martin action and bold sound. The original narrow thumb rest was removed at some point and replaced with a more comfortable hook.
    Overall a beautiful classic 50s Jazz horn with dents, repairs, patina and lacquer loss as expected for its age.
