The serial # is 147519 dating the horn to 1967- a Great time for Selmer and for Mark VI's! The horn is in very good condition. The pads are in very good conditon, the keys are tight and the horn plays incredibly easy!
The body is straight and shows some small dents/dings at the bottom and some repairs over its lifetime. Nothing that effects the play-ability of the horn.
The neck is perfect and shows no signs of any repairs.
Much of the lacquer has been worn off the horn, and it was re-lacquered at one point.  The engraving is still good.
But the Best Part of This Horn is by far the sound! This horn has a rich full tone very throaty with excellent definition throughout its range. It really whispers beautifully and is very expressive and sweet.
You can really push the horn as well and it screams when you do!
The intonation is dead on throughout all the registers.
