    Description

Travel back in time with old alto
    saxophone
. Made by Conn in Elkhart, Indiana, it's a Conn Director. It was made in about 1970. Serial number N32533.
    It's an instrument from
    the
Dayton [Ohio] Public Schools. The back of the bow is etched thusly, as is the lid of the case.
It has ordinary age and play wear all over, with various little scratches and lacquer wear. There are some minor dings on the bow.
One of the two braces for the lowest key is missing. I don't know the name of that key. The last photo is a closeup of where the missing bracket goes. Could someone please tell me the exact name of the part (bracket?) and what key that is? Thank you!
It has all its pads, which are old, but still supple. The pad for the key with the missing bracket, as mentioned above, is torn.
It comes with a Selmer (USA) mouthpiece with a ligature marked as made in France. Comes with one reed in good condintion. Comes with a black vinyl neck strap.
It comes in the presumably original Conn hard case. The case is worn, but the handle, latches, and hinges all work properly.
All in all, it's a good All-American saxophone that just needs a bit of servicing. Anybody up for the challenge?
    Questions?
