  • Condition: Super nice condition instrument. Horn body is really nice, no damage or sign of a drop. This horn is in a condition that suggests it has been in extended storage. The keys all work but have not been oiled so some are slow to respond. There is a spring missing on the upper stack. The serial number is 100062 which falls in the Kohlert serial number circa 1977. The bell is engraved Classic Super.Amati Kraslice ..Made in Czechoslovakia. The pads are very light in color and several are missing. the low D# shows some wear from moisture. With the missing pads, I cannot play test the instrument. The neck cork is intact. No mouthpiece or case. Below the Serial number is stamped circle 'I.' I cannot confirm this is a Kohlert made instrument, however 1977 was the last year for these instruments at Amati.     Description

    This is a unique find in this condition, check out Saxpics / Kohlert. This will make a great addition to your Alto Sax collection or as a player! This instrument is being sold as a vintage Alto Saxophone and is missing pads and a spring, it will need pads replaced and regulation to get back to playing condition.
    NOTE: We are resellers who clean and ship the instrument and not technicians. Most of the saxophones we acquire are from charity auctions that are donated.  This could be an instrument that was only played a short time and has been sitting.  We highly recommend that you have a professional technician go over the instrument as it may need regulation, pads replaced, and adjustment to get back to optimal playing condition.
    ***remember vintage instruments have sometimes been sitting for a very long time, you as an instrument owner should clean your instrument regularly.
