    Description

    BUESCHER Saxophone. True Tone Low Pitch.  Serial number (178,xxx) puts it at 1925. I believe this is called a C Melody but rely on your judgment. The only C is on the mouthpiece and the brace that holds mouthpiece on. Measurement of body tube (without neck) is about 24" to bottom of bow. Buescher mouthpiece marked with C. I believe this is nickel silver. CONDITION: Firstly, I know nothing about sax's so you will need to rely on my observations stated here, the photos as part of description, your expertise, and please ask questions if you have any. I can provide photos of specific areas upon request. The mouthpiece seems like it's loose against the cork of the neck. Perhaps an indication of wear to cork. There is a bit of resistance where neck slides onto body and I won't force the last 1/4". I have tried to provide a sampling of photos to show condition of pads. It looks like there was a small piece of cork below neck that is missing (only a little residue left). Uncleaned, unpolished and has tarnish. Found a few areas of silver polish residue. Handle missing to case and the middle latch can be difficult. My goal is to give you a good overview but there may be other flaws one may find that are not mentioned.
