Description
Travel back in time with this1926 C.G. Conn curved soprano saxophone. The serial number M167834 is stamped on the back of the body.
Cosmetically, it looks good. It has ordinary age and play wear, but has been loved and cared for. Engraved on the front of the bell is, "Made by C.G. Conn LTD, Elkhart, Ind., U.S.A."
Gold wash bell. Rolled tone holes. Fingernail file cross hatch G# key. High "F" key. The neck cork has been stabilized with Teflon tape. It has all its pads, which are older, but still work. All the keys and mechanisms work.
The lowest key guard has a solder repair. See photo.
The mouthpiece is marked with an eagle and TRADEMARK. I suspect it is original. And it comes with its old ligature, likely original .
It comes with the original Conn hard case. The handle, latches, and hinges are all functional. It also comes with a very worn leather neck strap.
It's a classic saxophone, ready for its next owner.
