Conn "Shooting Star" Tenor Saxophone w/ Case & Accessories

For your consideration is a Conn "Shooting Star" tenor saxophone with Conn case and a neckstrap included. This listing is believed to be a 16M model (SN: N77072) produced sometime in the range of 1970-1971 but unfortunately the instrument is not marked with model number and only serial number. This instrument is unique for having the bell design and the low register keys being on the left side of the bell rather than the right as it's more traditionally done nowadays. This horn is in good shape with only a couple of minor dents and scratches in various sections (see photos) but is overall in suitable playing condition. Neck cork has been removed and would need to be replaced upon purchase. Pads seal properly and all keys feel comfortable. Octave pin is slightly bent, but does work properly. Key guards are in good shape and all solders look good. Bell is in good shape with no major bending or damage to note aside from scratches. Serial number section has quite a bit of scratching but numbers are mostly legible. Bow has a dent (see photo) as well as smaller dents in the body (see photo) but these do not affect play.
The instrument could likely benefit from regulation and adjustment. As with most vintage instruments, we recommend a prospective buyer see their local repair technician for a quote on necessary disassembly, cleaning, and repairs as needed before placing an offer or purchasing. Parts and repair pricing varies between shop to shop.
Listing includes a Conn branded case in good condition, a generic neck strap and end plug, and of course... the instrument. Listing does NOT include mouthpiece, ligature, or cap. Stand is NOT INCLUDED and used for display purposes only.
