General rule of thumb is match the base of your flagpole to the ball topper, BUT - I say go with what you like, I have a 4" ball on my 2 inch x 20ft tall pole, I feel a 6in ball would also look great !! Go with what your heart tells you - NOT the opinion of others !! We sell 35ft poles with a 4" base and often install 6in balls on top - Awesome looking !!
We leave an ample amount of thread under these Balls, Not only Gives a superior appearance as well as leaves a space for those of you wanting to install a solar DISC light under the Ball ( please see out other Ebay Listings for these as well ).
