  • Condition: Very cool Vintage sax engraved Lyon & Healy, Maker, Chicago USA. Serial number 201XXX which dates it to around 1930. It is marked with a "L" for Low Pitch. I believe the horn was built by Courturier for L&H, who primarily were a Piano and Organ company. It was built with the soldered and beveled tone holes like Martin made famous with their Handcraft models. The key guards are very similar to the same era Buescher design. It has been serviced by our shop and plays well. NOTE: as with any pro or vintage instrument, you will want your technician to set it up to your preferences. Silver plate is in really good shape for being 90 years old. Neck is original with matching serial number. It will make a great addition to your American Vintage Sax collection. It includes what I believe is the original case. It is functional and carries the horn safely. Leather Handle will need to be replaced at some point. No Mouthpiece is included. Please see pictures for best cosmetic description.
