Description
PAIR RIDDLE SCONCES W/GLASS SHADES, 1920'S-1930'S, ART DECO, REWIRED, RESTOREDThese cast aluminum sconces were manufactured in the 1930's by the E. N. Riddle Co, Inc. in Toledo, Ohio. They include the art deco glass shades which are original to the sconces. When we got the fixtures, they had multiple coats of paint, so we stripped them back to bare metal, and repainted them in a statuary bronze.
The fixtures have their original sockets with paddle switches. They have been rewired.
The sale includes the correct mounting hardware (original mounting nuts, crossbars, threaded nipples).
The glass shades have a two tone color...light brown accents over frosted opal glass, and they have no significant defects...just a few tiny fleabites along the rim.
The shades are 5-1/2" tall, 4" across the bottom opening, and have 2-1/8" fitters. Riddle made these in multiple styles: no glass shades; shades opening to the top; and shades opening to the bottom. We have restored and sold all three.
The sconces measure 12-3/4" high to the bottom of the shades, 5-1/2" wide, and project 6" from the wall. The wall plate is 9" high. They use standard base bulbs.
These are guaranteed to be as described and we will accept their return if the buyer is dissatisfied. Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them.
Shipping is buyer's choice of USPS Parcel Select, UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or USPS Priority Mail.
