    Description

Vintage WEYMANN Keystone State, Pennsylvania, PA Alto Sax w/Protec Gig Bag. Serial #210-29.
This horn has been cleaned and adjusted, and plays very good from top to bottom with a smooth tone on the included DEBUT mouthpiece. The vintage neck (serial #c36212 - brand unknown) is in good condition and performs well with good intonation through the registers. Pads, corking, and felts have been replaced where needed, with the existing pads in good condition. The springs show quick response with one missing spring that does
    NOT
need replacing. The middle right palm key spring is only half there, but the key still functions fine (yea, got me scratching my head too). WEYMANN has had a great reputation for the manufacture of all kinds of musical instruments. Google the name - very interesting reading. Cosmetically, it has a few minor dings, no dents, scuffing, some scratches, and a make-shift lower bow key guard (pic #9) that functions great. There is plating wear in areas - see the pictures and note where the brass is showing. This most interesting alto comes with the Protec gig bag, a new microfiber polishing cloth, a vintage neckstrap, and the DEBUT mouthpiece w/ligature, cap, and new Rico Plasticover reed.
    Good Luck Bidding!
UPDATE: Ebayer Badenia51 informs me that "This is actually a stencil of the model 20A Elkhart Band Instrument Co." (EBIC). Vintage 1929.
