Vintage 1969 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone Gorgeous Condition.
In original Tri-pac case. No noticeable large marks, scratches, or dings that I can see. But I could have missed some blemishes and your eyes are better than mine, so just in case, I won’t call it perfect. It’s been gone over, adjusted and tested by a local technician - Tempe AZ. In his opinion, lacquer is most likely original. He told me that if by chance it was relacquered, it was extremely well done, most likely at the factory. He also wrote in his inspection- very little ear on the engraving from buffing, neck never pulled down, the bottom bow looks clean and body is straight - whatever all that means. I’m a guitar guy and know very little about saxophones. The case has a little bit or ware, especially on the handle, the zipper on one side seems to be stuck, but other side is fine so it closes completely. The outer case has some ware on the inside fabric. Sold as-is, as pictured
UPDATE: I’ve had a couple of people reach out to me and tell me that this sax has most likely been re-lacquered. I am no expert on this. It is sold as-is, whatever the case may be, original or re-lacquered. Thanks
