Vintage 1969 CONN Shooting Stars (Director) Alto Sax in Great Condition. Serial #M59083.
This is no Mexiconn, but a downright beautiful vintage USA Conn Director Alto that has been well cared for. It's been cleaned and adjusted, and plays great with a clear, penetrating tone on the included Conn Precision mouthpiece. Pads, felts, and corking have been replaced where needed with the existing pads and springs in very good condition. These Conns are great student horns - sturdy and resilient. Cosmetically, there is a little scuffing, some small scratches, a little finish wear on the neck and around the back bow tone hole, and mild finish wear on the keys and key guards. There's a soft dimple on the bow (very difficult to see), and no dents. Silver star decals were added on the bell and can be easily removed if you desire. Included in this package are the original case, a new microfiber polishing cloth, a nice gold lyre, a black vintage neckstrap, a black octave key protector cap, and the Conn Precision mouthpiece w/ligature, cap, and new Rico Plasticover reed.
