htmlBuescher Soprano Saxophone
I'm the second owner. It was made in the early 1920s and bought new by a neighbor of my grandfather. I took ownership in the early 1960s and had it professionally renewed. I didn't play it much. Note the photo of the pads.
The mouthpiece is, I believe, a cut down clarinet mouthpiece. It's probably a Martin. At least that's the name on the ligature.
It's the original case. The hinges, latches, etc are in good shape. It has no handle. It was gone when I bought it. So was most of the leatherette wrap. It seemed to me a good idea to peel it all away, give the wood a bit of a sanding, followed by a couple of coats of varnish. One end of the case needs additional work. Again, the photos tell much of the tale. The innards of the case are quite nice.
