Vintage  DOLNET  Alto Saxophone in superb condition

Description

Vintage Classic Dolnet French alto saxophone.  Serial No. 46xxx.  In beautiful condition, recently overhauled, with custom pads and Noyak metal resonators.  Hexagonal key guards, a style found only in Dolnets.  A few small dings, scratches and lacquer wear are present, par for the course when dealing with an original lacquer, vintage horn. In the beginning, there were Dolnet, Pierret, Selmer, Buffet and SML.  Nobody could compete with Selmer, and Pierret and Dolnet folded, only to be followed by SML.  Today, only Selmer and Buffet remain amongst the original French saxophones.  The Dolnet is a wonderful horn, with a velvety tone and all the attributes of a classic, vintage French saxophone.  These horns are a steal, as the are so undervalued even though once a direct competitor of Selmer.  Good luck!
