    Description

For your consideration is a late 1950's Buescher Aristocrat True Tone model 140 alto saxophone with its original Buescher branded hard case along with some case candy in the form of an original care pamphlet, lyre, vintage neck strap, and end plug. Known for its "fatter" tone that really projects, Buescher saxophones are a staple in American made altos of the 1900's. A fantastic build quality with great tone and intonation, this series III model 140 has its original snap-in pads, original Norton springs, and has most of the original lacquer.
Serial number dating indicates this instrument to have been produced in the range of 1955-1960 (352096). This would mean that it was among the last of the pre-Selmer made Bueschers.
Cosmetically, this instrument does show signs of wear and a few minor dents present (see photos). The instrument has been looked over and is functional. We would recommend a standard regulation and adjustment from your local shop. But all in all is in fantastic shape for being as old as it is. Would be a fantastic piece for a Buescher fan/collector or someone looking for the Buescher iconic tone.
    Thanks for your consideration!
