Description
This is a vintage Olds Parisian alto sax that needs a bit of TLC. One of the keys has come unsoldered from the body and needs to be resoldered. There is also a bell key foot that needs resoldering. I'm sure this horn will need new pads as well. The action is very nice on this saxophone. The palm keys don't seem to be quite as fast as the rest of the keys, but I doubt it needs more than a light oiling. These horns were made by a little-known French company, Pierret. This is not the Olds Parisian Ambassador; that's a different saxophone made by a different company. The amber rollers are a nice touch, and I really like the shape of the pinky keys left and right. The bow has a couple of very small dings but overall not bad at all. Has some issues with the finish. Rear octave key works very well. I've looked all over the horn and I cannot find any indication of a serial number. I'm sure it's somewhere, I just can't find it.Comes in an SKB case in very nice condition, although the strap that holds the two halves of the case at a perpendicular has come unglued at one end. These are reportedly great little horns!
