Vintage The Martin TENOR Committee III Tenor Saxophone.
Wait in case is 11 lbs. 3 oz.
Case Measures 7" x 12" x 31"
NOTE: In 2012 it had seven pads replaced and a few dents removed as well as the neck was cleaned
I will try to describe this as best I can but mainly I can’t express enough that I am not a musician and this is a very untested saxophone. Starting with the case, I believe it is original and in poor condition there are a few spots on the outside where the black finish is gone and the wood is exposed showing cracks in the wood.
Are in the brass on the sax reads the name The Martin Co. Nowhere on the sax could I find committee iii. It is an assumption that that is what this is, I researched many others that are for sale and that have sold and determined that this is probably what this is, but please do your own homework because I simply do not know. There was a loose receipt inside of the storage compartment of the case that stated it had pads replaced and a couple of dings repaired back in 2012. I am not saying that it needs no pads I am simply saying that it appears it has had pads put on it in 2012. The lacquer finish is aged, checked and missing in many areas. I’m sure it could be played without the finish affecting Play ability but if you want it to be nice she would probably want to restore it.
