Description

This is the ROYAL 10 Standard Manual.
This is an American-made typewriter. This is the model used in the movie Misery. It seems to be a model from Resident Evil, but the trademark position and the shape of the tracks are different.
This is an American-made, orthodox typewriter with a solid feel. The front strike type gives you a sense of the good old days. Judging from the serial number, it is thought to be a product from around 1920, and it is a gem from about 100 years ago, so it is very moving.
There was a malfunction due to aging and missing parts, so we disassembled it as much as possible and fixed the problem. We cleaned the rust and dirt, applied lubricant, and maintained it so that it could be typed.
The frame has peeling paint, rust, scratches, dirt, and peeling logo letters, but it still has a well-used retro feel. However, to ensure long-term use, the progress of rust and scratches is suppressed with a semi-gloss paint. Each part is also lubricated with lubricant to prevent deterioration.
The genuine wire that moves the carriage is string-like, so there is a high risk of it breaking due to aging. It has been replaced with a metal replacement wire so that it can be used for a long time.
The rubber roller in the paper feed section broke, so it was repaired with adhesive and rubber repair material. The protective material on the base also deteriorated and cracked, so it was replaced with a new commercially available replacement.
Other operation checks confirmed that there are no problems. Since it has not been used for a long time, there is a risk of malfunction, but normal typing is smooth. There is also a typing end sound and a ding sound.
The ink ribbon has been rewound with a new one. The fractions have some faint characters. The other printing conditions do not seem to be bad. Please check the images for the printing condition.
Commercially available spools cannot be used for ribbon replacement, so the ribbon is wrapped around a dedicated spool. It may be a hassle, but I think you will grow attached to it.
You can use it immediately after the product arrives. We will include a simple operation manual made by ourselves, including how to operate the key buttons and each lever, and how to replace the ribbon. It is not a complete explanation, but I think it can be used.
I think it would be good as an interior or object.
It is a working product, but since it is an old product, there may be some defects due to aging.
