York Alto Saxaphone Grand Rapids Michigan 1936-1937

Description

This saxophone was acquired from an estate in Southern California. I bought it because it was in such beautiful condition for its age. I do not know anything about wind instruments, but I have done my due diligence to understand what I am selling and to make sure you will get what you expect.
I had it looked at by a professional saxophone musician/technician and I was told that it is in playing condition as it is with all keys functioning and pads are good.
My research determined that it was made between 1936-1937 by the serial number 111369
It appears to have been re-lacquered- estimated 20-30 years ago
Comes with a 5 Meyer lapped facing S medium chamber hard rubber jazz mouthpiece
This would have been a professional instrument when it was made.
Considered intermediate by todays standards
Includes hard shell case, and everything shown in the photos
