    The silver finish still looks strong, it just needs cleaned and polished. Serial number 49417 indicates a 1919 production year.  I don't know how to play sax but I did check the keys and they seem to be working fine. I could only find one small ding on bottom curve and that is all, see photo of bottom curve. The sax is 24 inches long without the mouthpiece on it so I believe that makes it a C Melody model. Original case still protects the sax fine. Handle on case is gone. The pads look older. This can be a be a beautiful antique saxophone.
